A bank boss says Australia's big four banks may look to shed more jobs to counter losses in revenue.
The
warning's come from Bank of Queensland chief executive Stuart Grimshaw,
and follows a Westpac announcement that it's shedding 410 jobs.
Earlier
last week, Suncorp Group said it'll shift 77 jobs offshore to
Bangalore, while ANZ said in January that 130 employees in Victoria
will lose their jobs.
Mr Grimshaw says the major banks may consider cutting costs further if their revenue lines slow.
Meanwhile, the Finance Sector Union says the four big banks got rid of some three-thousand-300 jobs last year.
